![]() So follow each step and we’ll get you to the root of the problem as fast as we can. ![]() I have purposely written each post in an easy to follow hopefully non-technical way so that even a novice can understand. So again please follow these steps as directed to correctly diagnose the problems and don’t assume it’s one thing or the other until each has been ruled out or you’re ask to move on to the next step. Note: You may think you already know what the problem with your Pacman is, for example you may think you have a bad monitor when in fact it could really just be a simple blown fuse or a power supply problem or you may even perceive you have a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) issue, but what you could actually have is a wiring problem or an Eprom issue etc. I’m also assuming of course that the entire Pacman or Ms Pacman game is complete and has the original PCBs, monitor, power supply…etc which is all hooked up right and was working at one time, but now it is not. All other Pacman variations or newer MAME type games, multicades, or other computer games are not meant to be diagnosed through this site. Note: These instructions are intended to diagnose only the problems of an original coin-op Pacman or Ms Pacman stand up and/or an original Pacman or Ms Pac Cocktail Table Machine or Original Mini. If the instructions call for you to plug the game back in to test it, then please don’t touch any of the electrical parts inside– basically please use common sense and use your eyes instead of your hands while the game is plugged in or turned On. Always UNPLUG your machine while you are working on it. Good Luck post some progress pics as you go.Safety First! -Your Safety is important. I would also put a small namco logo on the bottom to make it look official.Īnother thing would be to use something more simple like the bottom pic and just match the color of the stripe to the cp. Here is a crappy paint pic of what i meant for the sides. Im guessing you were going for something more different but that's what i would probably do. I guess if you did it this way it would have a similar look to the pac and ms pac cabs. not sure if i would use the same pac and pal marquee logo on the sides (if a logo at all) it may look kind of tacky. For the sides maybe a blown up pic of pacman and the green chick with a solid color back ground. What are you going to do with the bezel ? You might want to somehow tie it in with the cpo like they did with the pink boarder on the ms pacs. It looks OK but maybe it would be better if you used one of the pacmans from the flyer ( i would use the tennis racket one) to give it more of a distinctive look from the other pac games Any suggestions, or if anyone wants to take a crack at designing some kind of artwork for my machine, i'd appreciate it.on with the pics. And remember, I want to try to make this look at authentic as possible, like a dedicated Pac N Pal. And I need idea on the control panel overlay art and kickplate art. I'd like to put Pacman and Pal and maybe a ghost in it somewhere, but not sure how. The marquee seems a little plain as the other pacman games always seem to have characters incoporated into their marquees. here's what i have so far for the side art and the marquee. There's not a whole lot of artwork based on this game floating around the net, but i found the flyer and an instruction card in japanese. I'm going to be using a regular pacman or ms pacman cabinet. However, since to my knowledge, no upright Pac N Pals were made, I sort of have to guess on the artwork. I want this to look at authentic as possible. OK, i'm beginning to work on my new project, it's going to be a MAME machine based on Pac N Pal.
